Sherlock Season 3 Image Gallery Boasts 30 New Pictures

Well we’ve waited almost two years but finally they’re here! The BBC has just released a collection of 30 new images in advance of Sherlock’s return on New Year’s Day.

The series kicks off on New Year’s Day on BBC 1 with “The Empty Hearse,” an episode penned by Mark Gatiss, which takes place two years after Sherlock’s fateful plunge from that rooftop (or was it?) in The Reichenbach Fall.

According to the BBC Watson has gotten on with his life. “New horizons, romance and a comforting domestic future beckon. But, with London under threat of a huge terrorist attack, Sherlock Holmes is about to rise from the grave with all the theatricality that comes so naturally to him.”
