Sherlock Season 3 Episode 1 “The Empty Hearse” Synopsis

We have an air date (ish) for Sherlock’s third season return. The BBC confirmed yesterday that the series is set to make a return to screens sometimes over the Christmas holiday period (that’s between Dec. 21 and Jan. 4 in BBC time).

Along with the announcement came an official synopsis for episode 3×01 “The Empty Hearse,” written by Mark Gatiss.

Two years after the devastating effects of [Series 2’s finale] The Reichenbach Fall, Dr John Watson has got on with his life.
