She-Hulk Twerking with Megan Thee Stallion was Tatiana Maslany’s Idea

The latest episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law just dropped, and everyone is going crazy over the post-credits scene which has Jen twerking with Megan Thee Stallion. As it turns out, that was all star Taitiana Maslany’s idea.

Talking to TV Line, Director Kat Coiro explains, “The dancing was actually added to the script on the day because Tatiana was so excited, she’s the world’s biggets Megan Thee Stallion fan. We were like, ‘We got to give her something,’ and so they threw together this dancing scene.”

Maslany herself was asked about it, and she laughed replying, “Yeah that was me. That’s all me.”

This episode with Megan Thee Stallion actually came right after the confirmation that she would be showing up in the series. Fans thought she would be showing up a bit later, but it was a pleasant surprise to have her appear and actually twerk with She-Hulk.

Of course, a lot of fans hate it when characters don’t act the way they like, and some are already bashing the scene for ‘making no sense to the plot.’ If anything, I’m sure that the writers for She-Hulk know exactly who these haters are, and have even called them out with the recent episode with some online haters complaining about ‘women not making their own heroes,’ or ‘men being erased from the spotlight.’

So far, I think the show is pretty brilliant, and they make a lot of great use of the fourth-wall-breaking. Not even Deadpool gets this meta.
