She-Hulk BTS Featurette Gives Inside Look at the Making of the Show

She-Hulk is admittedly one of the more obscure Marvel properties, but she’s managed to get her own Disney+ show premiering next month. What’s great is, we have a new behind-the-scenes featurette giving a look at the character and how Marvel is aiming to approach the series.
Watch this:
While some fans may have thought that Jennifer Walters had ‘stolen’ Deadpool’s ability to break the fourth wall, series writer Jessica Gao has confirmed that it was something She-Hulk used to do in the comics as well. The featurette also makes it clear that the approach with She-Hulk is to shake up two genres which are procedural court dramas and Marvel series.
Though we don’t have an update on Daredevil’s appearance in the show, we do get more on the guest cameos from Hulk, Emil Blonsky/Abomination, and Sorcerer Supreme Wong. No doubt Jennifer will also be handling some B-class heroes like Frogman and what some are suspecting is the Wrecking Crew—a group of villains with enchanted power tools.
The premise of the show is pretty silly with a super-powered lawyer in the center of it, and I’m excited for more projects like this down the Marvel pipeline. Though Ms. Marvel was a pretty standard superhero story, the elements surrounding the execution, like the unique visuals and authentic depiction of culture—make for something more substantial than the usual Marvel material we’ve been getting.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Disney+ on Aug. 17.
