'I have no friends,' Selena Gomez's Lonely Road To Self-Recovery

Despite the fame, Selena Gomez feels like she knows everybody but has no friends. But it wasn’t due to any celebrity feuds or drama but for her mental health. She had to detach herself from a few people in her life.
Gomez opened up about her struggles with mental illness in an interview with Business Fashion, about why she had to take a three-month break from Social Media back in 2016 and how broken she felt inside. She took time to address the Lupus-triggered depression and anxiety. It was a long journey for the singer and actress to become a healthier version of herself. But she was able to reach out to a few people she looked up to for guidance when she hit the breaking point.

Gomez reached out to teachers and coaches asking them about how to they got to their place in life. Their journey to self-discovery and happiness. She made sure she was surrounded by people she respected and like-minded people.
She believes you are who you surround yourself as it is necessary for the steps of self-care. Because of this philosophy, she had to cut out people in her life who were toxic. When she describes how she felt in past she would say she felt completely and absolutely broken.
To surround herself with people who disregard her mental health saying she was fine or she was crazy to feel the way she did was not a healthy choice. Gomez had to detach herself from negativity and certain situations that cause a dark cloud to hover around her. To the point, it became a habit for her. She had to restrain her mind from crawling into the dark spaces. This includes surrounding herself with people who truly care about her.
She refrains from making toxic and fake friendships. At best she says she has three close friends who she opens up to and boundaries are respected—because everyone should have no shame in wanting to take care of themselves.

Gomez and The Weeknd are taking their relationship to a new level. Because sources say the two are temporarily living together in the Big Apple. It is reported that the two are living in a low-rise luxury building in the heart of the Village. It is a big deal since Gomez usually stays in a hotel when she is town for projects. But it looks like her boyfriend Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd is someone of utmost importance to the 25-year-old singer and actress.
