Captain Marvel kind of botched the whole Secret Invasion storyline, but Marvel Studios is going to have a second stab at it with their Secret Invasion series on Disney+. We don’t have an official trailer yet, but we do have some set photos revealing a returning Samuel L. Jackson and new MCU cast member Emilia Clarke.

We don’t know exactly what the plot for the Secret Invasion series is, but if the comic is any clue, the shapeshifting Skrulls have infiltrated Earth, and even some established characters are revealed to be Skrull sleeper agents.
Originally fans thought this was the storyline that Captain Marvel was going to follow, but since what we got was a standard superhero origin story, Marvel and Disney now have a chance to try an adaptation that’s more true to the intrigue of the comic.
If anything, I hope they address Fury’s absence when it came to Spider-Man: No Way Home, while I understand that the plot needed Peter to be at the end of his rope, they kind of just dropped the idea of getting Fury’s help after saying he was off-world. If anything, some are wondering if Fury was affected by the spell at all since he wasn’t on Earth, and maybe he can address Peter’s predicament at some point in Secret Invasion.
As of now, no release date has been set for Marvel’s Secret Invasion, but you can catch Moon Knight when it premieres on Disney+ on March 30.
