‘Scandal’ Season 7 Episode 8 Recap RIP Quinn; Is She Really Dead? [Spoilers]

The Gladiators in Suits bid their goodbye to Quinn in the mid-premiere episode of “Scandal” Season 7. But is she really dead?
Many fans of Shonda Rhimes’ drama believe that Quinn (Katie Lowes) is still alive. Some pointed out that they did not actually see the face of the person that Eli Pope (Joe Morton) shot and burned at the beginning of Episode 8.
Attorney-General David Rosen (Joshua Malina) confirmed that a burned dead body was found in a car trunk. A partial dental impression and samples of blood and hair were also found. Those are of Quinn’s. So everybody assumed that she is dead. But is she really dead?
The preview of next week’s episode features Quinn and she seems to be alive. It looks like she is being held in a basement and it doesn’t seem like she is still pregnant. Watch the teaser below.
Moreover, the ending of Episode 8 left fans wondering if the baby that Eli is keeping in his house is Quinn’s baby. If Quinn’s child is alive, it is possible that she is too.

“Scandal” Season 7 Episode 8 Recap

The episode opened with Eli burning a human body at the trunk of a car. Then Rosen informed Team OPA-turned-QPA that a charred body was found and traces of blood and hair in the trunk are of their friend.
Jake (Scott Foley) blamed Rowan for Quinn’s death while Rowan blamed his daughter, Olivia (Kerry Washington), for letting Quinn die. Huck (Guillermo Diaz), on the other hand, suspects that Olivia has something to do with their friend’s death.
As Huck sorting through the coroner’s autopsy report, he came across a note about an antique hairpin. He asked Olivia about it but Liv lied to Hunk and told him that she is not aware that Quinn has an old hairpin. The fact is Olivia gave Quinn the hairpin from Smithsonian so she can wear it at her wedding.
Hunk told Abby (Darby Stanchfield) that he traced that hairpin to the Smithsonian and he has a suspicion that Olivia killed Quinn. When Abby shot down his theory, Hunk went to Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) for help. Although Fitz does not offer much help, Hunk confirmed his delusion that Olivia has changed.
Meanwhile, the team met in the middle of nowhere to give Quinn a “Gladiator” goodbye. Charlie (George Newbern) said goodbye to Robin, his and Quinn’s daughter. Each of them took a turn of firing off Quinn’s ashes in a bullet while recalling their best memories of her.
Hunk remains suspicious of Olivia when Abby told them that she called Olivia to join the team in the office but she did not arrive. David later found Charlie sitting in his car in the garage. Charlie told him that he doesn’t want to go back to Quinn’s apartment because he doesn’t want to see all the baby stuff in there. Charlie gave David the apartment keys. David and Abby took everything down including the baby crib where they found a flash drive.
At the end of the episode titled “Robin,” Charlie showed up on Eli’s doorstep and begged the former B613 head for his old job. Rowan, however, told Charlie to go home and think about what he is asking for. As Charlie is about to walk away, he heard a baby crying. He ran into the house and found a baby lying in a crib. He asked Rowan, “Whose baby is that?” Before Olivia’s dad could answer, Charlie chokes him. Is that Charlie and Quinn’s baby?
