Save the Future in Trailer for Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been going strong since it debuted in 2018, and now the latest version of the Turtles are getting their own movie.

Here’s the synopsis:

When a mysterious stranger arrives from the future with a dire warning, Leo is forced to rise and lead his brothers, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey in a fight to save the world from a terrifying alien species.

Besides the crazy animation which the series has become known for, we also get the arrival of some classic TMNT characters like Casey Jones and the Krang.

Just like they did with the Turtles in this version of the TMNT, they’ve also added a special twist to the character of Casey Jones. Rather than just have Casey be a vigilante that wears sports gear, they actually wrote him in a way that he comes from the future, and the reason he’s armored in hockey gear is because he comes from a post-apocalyptic world where it was probably the only armor available to him. They’ve also given him a history with the older version of the turtles, so that should be fun to watch him geek out around the teen versions of his friends.

The Krang also look pretty interesting here. We know that one Krang is already trouble enough, but having them be siblings could pose a different challenge for the Heroes in a Half Shell.
