Rupert Grint Joins M Night Shyamalan’s Untitled Thriller Series Cast

After breaking ground in the world of wizardry and spanning a successful acting career in a variety of other films, Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint will make his foray into the thriller realm in director M Night Shyamalan’s untitled thriller series to be produced by Apple.

According to Deadline, Grint is the latest actor to join Shyamalan’s new project following Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) and Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones). The show’s plot is kept under wraps, but Grint will play Julian Pearce, the brother of Lauren Ambrose’s character, Dorothy Turner.

Shyamalan will co-executive produce the project, alongside Ashwin Rajan and Blinding Edge Pictures. Escape Artists will also executive produce with Taylor Latham. Tony Basgallop created the series, which will be a psychological thriller among others. Shyamalan will also direct the show’s first episode.

The thriller series will follow the story of parents Dorothy and Sean Turner, who hires a young nanny named Leanne (Tiger Free) to help care for their newborn child.

Grint can be seen in BBC’s ABC Murders and the second season of Sony Crackle’s Snatch.
