Before Matt Murdock was giving Spider-Man legal advice, he was part of Marvel Netflix, which was sort of connected to the MCU, but it was more of a one-sided relationship. Now with the MCU embracing more of their TV entries, one Marvel Netflix star is pretty keen on her return.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Claire Temple/Night Nurse actress Rosario Dawson was asked bout how she feels about the character and whether she would be game in coming back to the MCU. Dawson replied:
“Oh yeah. For sure. You don’t even see [Claire] in that last “tell Claire to go home” moment on Luke Cage. So what is that? You know it’s terrible. So, yeah, I’d be super curious, but I’m just so stoked for everybody, though. It’s been a long time coming. I was really excited to know that all of our shows are actually part of the MCU now, with Charlie [Cox] and Vincent [D’Onofrio] coming over into these different projects now. So, yeah, 18 episodes [of Daredevil: Born Again]? I’m there! Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, they know where I am.”
If the movies had Stan Lee, Dawson’s Claire was probably the next best thing for Marvel Netflix, seeing as she appeared in all the series from Daredevil to Iron Fist. Sure Claire kind of disappeared toward the end of the Marvel Netflix run, but there’s plenty of room for her to come back, especially with Rachel McAdams’ Night Nurse possible making her last appearance in Multiverse of Madness.
We don’t know when Claire Temple could make a return yet, but you can catch Dawson in her own Ahsoka series which is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime next year.
