Riverdale Season 1, Episode 4 Spoilers: Betty Discovers Archie’s Secret

Riverdale Season 1 Episode 4 entitled “Chapter Four: The Last Picture Show” will focus on Betty (Lili Reinhart) trying to uncover the shocking past of Miss Grundy (Sarah Habel) and if she truly is who she says she is. Meanwhile, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) tries to save the local drive-in from an anonymous buyer who plans to shut it down.

Riverdale Season 1 Episode 4: Miss Geraldine Grundy

In the last scene of Episode 3 “Body Double,” scoutmaster Dilton Doiley (Major Curda) admitted to Betty and Jughead that he saw Miss Grundy’s car at the river’s edge the day Jason Blossom was missing. This new found information opens up questions about the music teacher if her affair with Archie (KJ Apa) is the only secret she’s keeping.

She finds out that a woman named Geraldine Grundy was an old woman who died seven years ago. Which means Miss Grundy is not the woman she says she is. As Betty’s investigation deepens, her friendship with Archie is put to the test. Is she willing to hurt her friend for the truth?

Jughead Jones Saving Riverdale’s Twilight Drive-In

Amidst the Grundy drama, there is Jughead Jones who finds out that an anonymous buyer plans to destroy the Twilight Drive-In.

Jughead works at the local drive-in and when he finds out that it would be torn down he tries desperately to save it. He puts up a fight even though the drive-in is now a place for criminals and transients. He even stops by the Mayor’s office pleading to save the drive-in. But Jughead is hiding his true intentions on why he needs to save the local drive-in.

Ruining Riverdale’s Golden Boy and Shady Serpents

Riverdale mothers are also going to face some issues in this week’s episode. It’s no secret that Betty’s mom, Alice Cooper (Mädchen Amick), is not fond of her friendship with Archie Andrews. In episode 4 she stumbles upon Betty’s diary and decides to destroy her daughter’s image of Archie once and for all. According to Yahoo News, Alice Cooper would stop at nothing to ruin Archie’s reputation in the name of Betty’s well-being.

While Veronica (Camila Mendes) is suspicious of her mother’s actions when she finds out that Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nicholas)  had a secret meeting with a Southside Serpent.
