In next week’s episode of “Riverdale” titled “Anatomy of a Murder,” Jason Blossom’s killer will finally be revealed. Fans will also get to see the “core four”—namely Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica team up once again to come clean with their discoveries as the first season of “Riverdale” begins to wind up to a close.
Jason Blossom’s Killer To Be Revealed, Riverdale Finale to Include Huge Twist
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed that “Riverdale’s” Chapter Twelve will indeed reveal the identity of Jason Blossom’s killer, with the season finale going through it’s fallout. “The entire town is reeling” and it all “comes full circle back to Sweetwater River.”
It’s actually one of the spoilers dropped in EW’s finale spoilers column with one among the “core four” pairs going “all the way” and the other left in limbo ahead of “Riverdale’s” second season.
“There’s a huge twist ending that sets up the second season. One of our main character’s life hangs in the balance,” Aguirre-Sacasa explained, repeating something that he’s said before.
Jughead will also adopt Hot Dog—his comic counterpart pet—and get this, EAT A HAMBURGER in the finale! This is something that fans have been waiting to see since episode 1, when they realized how little he was eating fastfood as compared to the comic book Jughead.
With Jason’s death being one of the major storylines of “Riverdale’s” first season, fans had hoped that his murder will be solved rather than ending as a cliffhanger. Aguirre-Sacasa has previously made it clear that Jason’s death would indeed be solved during the first season, much to the assumption of many that it would be during the finale. Check out the official synopsis below:
THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS AS THEY SEEM – Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) are shocked to learn of the arrest but know they need to come clean to their parents about what they uncovered. Still hurt by the betrayal of his friends and torn over who to trust, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) reluctantly joins them in a quest for truth. Meanwhile, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) confronts her mom about why she treats her so much worse than she ever did with Jason.
