We know that Rian Johnson is busy working on his next Knives Out movie, but he’s also managed to deliver another interesting murder-mystery series with Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne. The first season isn’t even over yet, but Peacock has announced that the show has already been renewed for a second season.
Check this out:

Though Benoit Blanc needs an entire movie to solve one mystery, Poker Face has more condensed stories that follow Charlie (Lyonne) as she unwittingly finds herself in the center of murder mysteries with nothing to bail her out but her almost mythical ability to tell when someone is lying.
With six episodes out, a lot of fans are having fun with Lyonne’s character, and each mystery has managed to keep fans on the edge of their seats despite having the murder revealed at the very first scene.
We don’t know how far Johnson is willing to take this series, but Charlie is definitely a unique character that I can see running as long as Benoit Blanc can. Now when is Johnson going to get started on his Star Wars trilogy?
Here’s the official series description:
Poker Face is a 10-episode “mystery-of-the-week” series following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.
The first six episodes of Poker Face are now streaming on Peacock.
