Rayla Returns in Latest Trailer for The Dragon Prince 4

It pretty much felt like The Dragon Prince was going to end with the third season, but thankfully Netflix has decided to greenlight the show to completion, and Aaron Ehasz has his work cut out for him. Now Dragon Prince is set to come back this November, and while we’ve had a lot of teasers before, this latest one finally gives us a look at a returning Rayla.

Watch this:

While we’ve had snippets of the story before, they were all just there to really catch us up with the characters since the events of the last season. We know that Ezran and Callum have established themselves in the kingdom of Katolis, but Rayla had left to pursue something on her own. Now we see Rayla has returned, but we still have no idea why she left in the first place.

And though it’s been teased that Viren will be brought back to life, this trailer confirms that he’ll only be alive for thirty days, and that’s why he’ll once again seek help from Aaravos to be resurrected properly. Of course, Aaravos has his own agenda, but we have the whole series to find out what exactly he has up his sleeve.

Admittedly, the show hasn’t managed to nab the same popularity as Avatar: The Last Airbender (of which Ehasz was head writer), but there is a lot of potential. The Dragon Prince has a very interesting, extensive lore, and the characters are well-rounded and likeable—even the villains.

The Dragon Prince returns with its fourth season this coming Nov. 3 on Netflix.
