Ray Fisher and More Join Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon; Concept Art Revealed

Ray Fisher may have burned bridges with Warner Bros, but he’s definitely got the back of Zack Snyder, and he’s just found a new role in Snyder’s upcoming sci-fi epic, Rebel Moon.

Along with Fisher, Snyder has announced a whole new bunch of actors joining the cast of the film (along with some concept art for the movie):

It’s great that Snyder is able to cast Fisher again, seeing as Fisher has been the one fighting WB the loudest after what happened with Justice League. Though we probably won’t see him as Cyborg again in the near future, we at least get to see him work with a director that actually believes in his talent.

Probably the biggest hook of Rebel Moon is that it would be Snyder’s take on a franchise like Star Wars. After the big debacle with WB and Justice League, fans would expect Snyder to steer clear of these big studio franchises like Marvel or Star Wars itself. Good thing that Netflix is letting him do what he wants with movies like Army of the Dead, and now Rebel Moon.

Here’s the movie synopsis (via Deadline):

The film is set in a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. They dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand the Tyrant.

As of now, no release date has been set for Rebel Moon, but some suspect that the movie could come to Netflix sometime later this year or early 2023.
