ABC’s “Quantico” has been confirmed by Deadline for a reboot on its third season. 13 episodes for “Quantico” will air in January 2018. Yes, the terrorism drama has come down to face the wire. However, there is no way Season 3 is not going to push through. Sure enough, it will. This time with a new showrunner, Michael Seitzman. And to complete the relief, Quantico star Priyanka Chopra is set to come back—although several cast members are to exit—and that’s for certain.
Major Management Adjustments To Quantico Season 3
During the end of Season 2, “Quantico” creator Joshua Safran stepped down as showrunner of the TV series. Fortunately, someone’s next in line to take charge of the action based FBI series. And it’s Michael Seitzman, who is also the creator of “Code Black.” This doesn’t mean you’ll miss Safran too much. The former showrunner will remain credited as an exec producer and consultant to the show.
Such drastic change in the management of the program leads to the news of to exit the show. And for starters, your favorite star Priyanka Chopra is not among them. She’ll stay with us through season 3. Alongside Chopra are three other series regular to return. They are Jake McLaughlin, Johann Braddy, and Blair Underwood. So, still a great line up though. The sad part, original cast members Yasmine Al Massri and Pearl Thusi’s departure has been announced. While Aunjanue Ellis and Russell Trovey are not expected to return, or at least not full time. Does this mean we’ll see them from time to time? We’ll find out til next year.
“Quantico” was a breakout when it debuted in fall 2015. But due to heavy serialization, it started to lose its momentum in the second half of its first season. The rating decline couldn’t stop even with the season 2 reboot. Despite all this, “Quantico” boasts global star Priyanka Chopra as its lead and her strong international sale helped the series’ Season 3 renewal.
