Prepare for Cosmic Hijinks in First Teaser for The Marvels

It’s been a while since we got the Captain Marvel movie, but Carol Danvers is set to return with her mini-superteam with The Marvels. Just in, we have our first teaser, and it brings Ms. Marvel, Photon, and Captain Marvel together for a cosmic adventure.

“In Marvel Studios’ ‘The Marvels,’ Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. (paradiseweddingchapel) Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’”

It’s not clear how exactly the three are entangled, but you can see that they have been constantly switching places throughout the galaxy, and they incorporate that into one of the fights in the preview. At least the teaser updates us immediately on what happens in the post-credits scene of Ms. Marvel where Carol Danvers finds herself in Kamala’s room.

Based on the synopsis, it seems that the villain are going to be the Kree again, and we see someone wielding the hammer of Ronan the Accuser from Guardians of the Galaxy. We actually met a younger version of Ronan in Captain Marvel, so it’s going to be interesting to know he’ll have some kind of presence in the sequel.

The Marvels comes to cinemas on Nov. 10.
