Peacemaker: Stunt Double Confirms Batman and Cyborg were CUT from the Finale

A lot of fans were expecting some kind of big cameo in the Peacemaker finale, but no one really expected most of the Justice League to show up. Fans were asking where Batman and Cyborg were in the finale, and as it turns out, they were originally planned to appear.

This was confirmed by Batman double Matt Turner who shared a look at himself in the Justice League armored Batman suit:

In the caption he writes, “Sadly I(& Cyborg) were cut from the final edit. Why? Only @jamesgunn & @warnerbrosentertainment know that.”

Last week, Peacemaker director James Gunn was also asked by Variety about the missing JL members, to which he answered, “You know, I don’t know what I can — there are reasons for it, but I’m actually uncertain whether I can say what those reasons are. It might have to do with future stuff.”

While nothing official has been confirmed, Ben Affleck has been very vocal about being done with Batman, and rumors are going around that WB wants to replace the main timeline’s Batman with Michael Keaton’s. As for Cyborg, Ray Fisher has been famously speaking out about the abuse he experienced working for WB, and instead of issuing an apology or admitting any accountability, WB has been trying to brush the actor’s accusations under the rug—even going so far as to completely ignore Cyborg when they made their post about Black History Month.

Fans are still fighting to get Fisher back as Cyborg down the line, but for now, it looks like bridges have definitely been burned with the studio. I guess for now we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Catch Peacemaker now on HBO Max.
