After the underwhelming Book of Boba Fett, fans were eager for the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. While the series was set to premiere on May 25, a new announcement has been posted saying it will be delayed—but with a special condition.
Watch this:
As announced by Ewan McGregor himself, Kenobi won’t be making its May 25 release date and will now release on May 27. With the series premiering on Friday though, it’s been announced that two episodes will be released instead of one.
That should be a great deal for the fans. They essentially lost days for two episodes; that’s better than having to wait for a whole week for the next chapter.
While a lot of fans are excited for the return of Obi-Wan, there have been some notes about the look of the Grand Inquisitor in the series. Personally, I’m not too much of a stickler when it comes to details, and at this point, I don’t think there’s any more use complaining since they’ve already wrapped up the production.
I’m just hoping that we get a more solid story for Kenobi, seeing that The Book of Boba Fett ended up being a fanservice-heavy slog that forgot about its own protagonist near the end of its run. While I would like to see more of Fett in the future, I’d like to see him go through a more interesting route, rather than the one we got on the show.
Catch Obi-Wan Kenobi when it premieres on Disney+ on May 27.
