Nick and Jess Sing (Sort Of) In New Girl’s “Kiss Me Like a Man” Music Video

We’re not entirely sure this will make it to song of the summer, but it will certainly tide us over until the next episode of New Girl.

The slightly bizarre but endearing auto-tune mashup by DJ John Boswell has been making the rounds this week and when it was sent to us by FOX this morning we couldn’t resist the urge to share.

The song, which is essentially a Nick-and-Jess love song (actually we’re not even too sure we’re right on that score), is peppered with in-jokes and references (“I do it for Kenya”) that fans of the show will instantly recognize – and casual browsers will no doubt be scratching their heads over.

The show returns on Tuesday May 7 with “Winston’s Birthday,” an episode which sees Jess’ Dad, Bob (guest star Rob Reiner), arriving at the loft the morning after Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick’s (Jake Johnson) night of passion.

However when Jess finds herself with a huge opportunity for a new job on the day before Cece’s (Hannah Simone) wedding, Nick is forced to spend the day with Jess’ Dad. Awkward!

Meanwhile, Schmidt will be doing some internal analysis this week as he attempts to sort out his feelings for Elizabeth (guest star Merritt Wever), and poor Winston (Lamorne Morris) psyches himself up for his HUGE surprise birthday celebration – which no one seems to have remembered.
