Next Episode of House of the Dragon will be Milly Alcock’s Last

Ever since the premiere of House of the Dragon, Milly Alcock’s Rhaenyra has been a fan-favorite that has been praised for being the series’ new fiery lead. Too bad though, because, the next episode of HOTD will be her last.

Already fans online are mourning the last episode of Milly Alcock and Emily Carey as the younger Rhaenyra and Alicent Hightower. Here are some posts:

Of course, this should be expected with the fans. Even before the series premiered, we were already assured there would be a huge time skip mid-season, and that would be marked by the aging of Rhaenyra and Allicent.

It definitely feels like a shame that Alcock and Carey should leave the show, especially since the last episode had the wildest character moments yet, with Rhaenyra getting romantically entangled with her uncle and Alicent confronting her about it (some are reading this as a possible romance).

With a royal wedding expected in the next episode, Game of Thrones fans are already expecting the worst. After all, the series has been notorious for its violent weddings, whether it’s the Robb Stark slaughter at the Red Wedding or Geoffrey’s poisoned drink in the Purple Wedding.

We don’t know exactly what’s going down with Rhaenyra’s planned wedding, but I’m sure the book readers already know where the character ends up in the lore.
