New Witcher Poster Teases Henry Cavill’s Last Run as Geralt of Rivia

Henry Cavill may have announced that he’s done playing Geralt of Rivia for The Witcher, but he’s set to appear in one more season on the hit Netflix show.

Just in, we have a new poster featuring Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer, and it’s also teased that we could be getting a new trailer tomorrow. Check this out:

A lot of fans were actually confused that Cavill was the one that appeared in the poster and not Liam Hemsworth who was announced to be the new Geralt. As it turns out, Cavill still had one more season left to play the infamous Witcher, and it would be in Witcher 4 where Hemsworth would be taking over the role.

We don’t know what story the third season of The Witcher will follow, but we should expect some loose ends to be tied up, especially with the family unit of Yennefer, Geralt, and Ciri. I’m guessing Ciri could actually be taking up the spotlight when it comes to the next season, but I’m also rooting for Hemsworth to impress audiences with his take on Geralt.

As for Cavill, Superman didn’t really pan out like he originally intended, but the die has already been cast. He may be losing Witcher and Superman, but he has signed on with Amazon Prime Video for an adaptation of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game where he’ll be playing the lead. I mean, it’s no Kal-El, but I’m sure people will check it out for a talent like Cavill.

No release date has been announced for The Witcher Season 3 on Netflix.
