Shazam! Fury of the Gods may not have been a box office slam dunk, but there has been a lot of positive buzz going around for the upcoming Flash movie starring Ezra Miller.
Just in, we have a new trailer to hype up the release of the film, and it gives us more of the two Barrys, as well as more Batman and Supergirl. Check this out:
The trailer pretty much gives us the basic run-through of the plot with Barry altering the universe in an attempt to save his parents. We get his connection with Michael Keaton’s Batman when he talks about saving his parents, but we also have some interesting lines from Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne who tells Barry that the past doesn’t need to be altered.
While the film is trying really hard to lean on the Batman nostalgia, I’m excited for their take on Supergirl. I’ll admit, I miss Henry Cavill’s Superman, but this movie has a chance to give us a whole new take on Kara and how she would have stopped the invasion of Zod.
Hopefully the film’s as good as the test audiences and critics are saying.
Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
Catch The Flash when it comes to cinemas on June 16.
