New Teaser for Amazon’s The Boys: Diabolical Gets Raunchy

With The Boys set to come back in June, Amazon Prime Video is giving us a new entry into the world of Vought with the animated spinoff series The Boys: Diabolical. The anthology series drops in a month, and we have a new teaser showcasing the characters and animation styles that will be appearing on the show.

From some of the most unhinged and maniacal minds in Hollywood today comes Diabolical, a collection of eight irreverent and emotionally shocking animated short films. Featuring stories by Seth Rogen, Awkwafina, Aisha Tyler, and more, each episode plunges elbow-deep into unseen crevices of The Boys Universe.

We don’t know if this short was part of the actual show, but it seems like it was made specifically to be an ad for Diabolical. What’s great is we get several familiar characters appearing in different animation styles—from Invincible to Rick and Morty.

If anything, the animated anthology series is becoming a new staple when it comes to the comic book movie genre. Disney+ did it for Marvel Studios and Star Wars with Marvel’s What If…? and Star Wars: Visions; and now Amazon has Diabolical. I wonder when DC is going to release their animated anthology series on HBO Max? Then again, they probably wouldn’t need one since they release animated DC films on the regular already.

Catch The Boys: Diabolical when it premieres on Amazon Prime Video on March 4. The Boys returns with its third season on June 3.
