New Senseis Enter the Dojo in Trailer for Cobra Kai 5

The Karate Kid saga continues with the next season of Cobra Kai. After the shocking results of the last All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver is looking to be on top and has chosen to expand his karate empire.

Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Sensei Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.

Like previous seasons of the show, Cobra Kai will be bringing back some familiar characters from the old movies, and this time they’ll be helping Terry Silver in his quest to fill the valley with merciless karate tweens. In the meantime, we get some continued development for Danny and Johnny, plus their protégés Miguel and Robby.

It’s curious that Cobra Kai is as great as it is, especially with all the other properties coming out that are banking on audience nostalgia. While we do get some great new characters with the new generation of karate kids, the show also doesn’t shy away from giving some great arcs to the legacy characters of the series.

Catch Cobra Kai 5 when it premieres on Netflix this Sept. 9.
