New Season, Return Dates: 'Elementary,' 'iZombie,' and 'New Girl'

Three more fan-favorite TV shows are set to premiere in the coming months. Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson are coming back for “Elementary” Season 6. Ravi’s fate will be revealed when “iZombie” Season 4 premiere in February while “New Girl” final season is expected to wrap things up for Jess and company.

Sherlock Reconnects with an Old Friend in “Elementary” Season 6

Sherlock’s (Jonny Lee Miller) friend from his AA meetings will reach out to him at the time the NYPD consultant needs support. A recovering addict, named Michael (Desmond Harrington), will reconnect with Sherlock and might also play an important role in Sherlock’s strained relationship with Joan (Lucy Lui).
There were speculations, however, that Michael might have another motive in reaching out to Sherlock. Their backstory, particularly their time at the AA, is expected to be featured in the sixth season of the modern adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective series.
“Elementary” executive producer Rob Doherty hinted in an interview with TVLine that there is something shady about the new character. “At least in the early goings, he’ll be something of a friendly ear for Sherlock, who will be going through a lot. Michael is somebody who’s in recovery and someone who wants to be helpful. But as is so often the case, the deeper we get into the season, we’ll see there’s a bit more going on with Michael than meets the eye,” Doherty said.
Meanwhile, CBS also ordered additional 8 episodes for Season 6, making the originally approved 13 episodes to 21. “Elementary” Season 6 will premiere on April 30 at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.

Ravi’s Fate Will Reveal When “iZombie” Season 4 Returns Next Month

Liv Moore (Rose McIver) and Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti’s (Rahul Kohli) plates are full when “iZombie” Season 4 kicks off in February. The previous season of The CW series left a cliffhanger about Ravi. Will he turn into a zombie? What life will be like for Liv now that Seattle was declared as zombie haven?

Season 4 will pick up where the previous installment left off. It can be recalled that Ravi was testing a zombie vaccine and asked Liv to do an experiment with him to see if the vaccine works. Although Liv was hesitant at first, she agreed to do the experiment and scratched Ravi. If the vaccine fails, Ravi will turn into a zombie.
Executive producer Rob Thomas earlier assured that Ravi would not die but refuse to say whether the character will turn into a zombie or not. “iZombie” Season 4 will premiere on Feb. 26 at 9 p.m. EST on the CW.

“New Girl” Final Season Premieres in April

Zooey Deschanel has promised that viewers will not be disappointed with the final season of “New Girl.” Aside from the actress, the rest of the series’ main cast members are coming back in Season 7 to wrap up the stories of their characters.

“New Girl” Season 7 will kick off with a three-year time jump after the events of the previous season finale. By this time, Jess (Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) are considering marriage after returning from a book tour in Europe.
Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) now have a 3-year-old daughter named Ruth. Cece is a modeling agent while Schmidt settles as a stay-at-home dad. Newlywed Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Aly (Nasim Pedrad) are expecting their first child.
“New Girl” Season 7 is set to premiere on April 10 at 9:30/8:30c on Fox. The eight-episode final season will be concluded with an hour-long finale on May 15.
