New Scream VI Featurette Teases the New Ghostface Killer

The unique thing about the Scream franchise is that the killer Ghostface is a mantle that someone new assumes in every film. With the sixth movie incoming, we have a new Ghostface killer, and a new featurette has been dropped on what makes this one the scariest yet.

We don’t really have any hints as to who this killer is, but like the last film, it looks like they’re big fans of the in-movie Stab franchise, and it looks like they could be paying homage to the killers that have come before them.

Besides the new killer, the movie is also touting an all-new setting with New York City. While the Scream movies are almost signature with them taking place in daylight in the suburbs, I think that there could be something new added to the Scream formula by having him chase down people in plain sight, and in one of the busiest cities in the world.

Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.

Scream VI comes to cinemas on March 10.
