If it weren’t for some delays, fans would have already gotten a look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse earlier this year, but in this timeline, the movie has been pushed back to next year. Sony has been very sparing when it comes to reveals, but now we have a new photo of an older Miles Morales.
Check him out:

We don’t really know the context of the shot, but we do have Miles’ parents in the background looking concerned. My guess is that Miles is at a public gathering, and his Spider powers suddenly kick in, prompting him to leave his parents and find out the source.
It’s unclear where Spider-Verse wants to take the story of the sequel, but some are speculating that there could be some kind of Spider-Man War with Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man 2099 leading the charge on the other side.
Though Into the Spider-Verse did introduce us to some classic Spider-Man variations like Spider-Noir and Spider-Gwen, the sequel promises to bring in even more wacky variants from the comics from Cyborg Spider-Man (Genderbent to Cyborg Spider-Woman) to Spider-Punk. There’s even word going around that we could see Japanese Spider-Man—complete with giant mech.
We don’t know when we could get a new look at the movie, but with a release set for June, I’m suspecting we could get something after the New Year.
Watch out for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse when it comes to cinemas on June 2, 2023.
