New Fringe Series Finale Poster May Leave You Speechless

As fans may already know, Fringe comes to a conclusion this Friday January 18th with back to back episodes entitled “Liberty” and “An Enemy of Fate.” To remind us of that fact, FOX today unveiled a final and chilling poster featuring an Observer who has literally been left speechless.
We’re not sure if the mouthless Observer has suffered the effects of a familiar Fringe event or if the picture is more allegorical. However we can tell you that the first hour of the series finale will see Olivia embarking on ‘a dangerous and otherworldly journey into the unknown’ according to FOX’s last synopsis.
Meanwhile, in the final episode Peter, Olivia, Walter, Astrid and Broyles face off against the Observers ‘in one final and extraordinary battle for the fate of mankind.’
In a recent Screen Spy interview, John Noble (Walter Bishop) described the series finale as follows:
“The finale, I believe, I think it’s the best finale I’ve ever read, just in terms of being able to tie up the five years, five years of intense work. To be able to pull it together as the way that Joel Wyman did is quite remarkable to me. So I honestly think the fans will be—well they’ll be disappointed. There’s no question because the series is finishing, but I think they’ll be very thrilled and honored by the way that Joel has made that happen.”
Catch the Fringe finale Friday January 18th from 9/8c on FOX. In the meantime, there’s this to ponder.
