NAVGTR Announces Game Award Nominees For 2012

NAVGTR (the National Academy of Video Game Testers and Reviewers) announced its list of nominees for the 2012 video game awards recently.

Among the categories this year were those for Game of the Year, Art Direction (Period, Fantasy, Contemporary), Innovation in Game Play, Innovation in Game Technology, Best Writing (Comedy and Drama) as well as nominations for Best Lead Performance (Drama and Comedy.)

Nominees include LA Noire, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Portal 2, F.E.A.R. 3, Batman Arkham City, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Minecraft, Battlefield 3, Catherine, Battlefield 3 and many more.

Both Adam Harrington and Aaron Staton are nominated for Best Lead Performance in a Drama for their roles as Roy Earle (Harrington) and Cole Phelps (Staton) in LA Noire. Other contenders in the same category include Elias Toufexis as Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Troy Baker as Vincent Brooks in Catherine and Billy Murray as Price in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

NAVGTR, along with a panel of game journalists and industry professionals will debate the nominees and announce the winners shortly after the PAX East Festival in April.
