What's Going On Between Nas and Nicki Minaj's Rumored Romance?

Ever since the harmless Instagram post of rapper Nicki Minaj chillin’ with Hip-hop recording artist Nas last May, gossip, and speculation flared among fans. And while everyone else is making opinionated assumptions about the two, Nicki Minaj has continuously turned them down. But right after some steamy neck kisses caught on the rapper’s live stream, one simply can’t ignore the spark. To confirm the Nas-Nicki romance, a source speaks up.
Are Nas and Nicki Minaj dating?
It’s been almost five months since the rumored Instagram post. The picture showed Nicki sitting comfortably next to Nas in the 44-year-old’s newest branch of Sweet Chick.

In the span of that time, the two had been spotted hanging out with each other. In an interview with Ellen where she was asked about the dating rumors, Nicki calmly replied that there was nothing romantic going on. She even comments about having sleepovers with the hip entrepreneur—but also clarified that they were “just sleepovers.”
“I’m just chilling right now, I’m celibate,” Minaj said. “I wanted to go a year without dating any men, I hate men.”
It was January this year when the female rapper broke up with Meek Mill. That would mean that if Nas had any intentions about finally dating Nicki, it would only be official in 2018. Although in that dialogue, she did mention that: “I might make an exception to the rule for him.”

Has the exception been granted? Because during Nas’ birthday last September 14, he celebrated it with booze, friends, a sweet chocolate cake, and of course, his rumored girlfriend, Nicki Minaj. Videos posted online by friends caught the two dancing next to each other, hands over her shoulders, and laughs between the two. The steamiest shot though, as taken by Nicki while she was live streaming to her fans and seemingly drunk Nas kissed her neck as she giggled.
A source tells E! News that they are simply in a ‘friendly situation right now.’ But to most fans, it sure doesn’t look like it. “Nicki is single now and dating but nothing serious. Nas is a best friend to her so as of now nothing is stirring up. People always joke around though that they make a great couple!” the source says.
While we would all want the two to just kiss and get it over with, we can simply watch their romance transpire into an official couple. Maybe this January 2018—and hey, that’s only a few months away.
