Dark Entity
Dark Shadow has grown larger and lashes out at the woods, getting power from the darkness surrounding it. Shoji explains that they were attacked from behind following Mandalay’s warning. He lost a hand defending Tokoyami from Moonfish, but it’s fine since he can regenerate them.
Unfortunately, this also led Tokoyami to lose control of his quirk. Dark Shadow is now enraged, amplified by the dark emotions inside its user. It’s now attacking anything that moves or makes a sound regardless of friend or foe.
Tokoyami tells them to leave him and save the others, but Shoji thinks they can save him by leading him to the fire. He devises a plan to make way for Midoriya to get to Bakugo and take Tokoyami to safety.
Midoriya objects since the camp and fires are far away from here. The odds are surely against them, but they must make a call.
Todoroki and Bakugo continue defending themselves against Moonfish without any progress, but then they hear a rumbling sound nearby. Midoriya and Shoji are luring Dark Shadow by making noise, planning to use their classmate’s bright quirks to tame Tokoyami’s quirk instead.
Bakugo sees it as an opportunity to fight Moonfish. As the villain raises himself from the ground, he attacks Dark Shadow but subsequently gets destroyed by the entity’s rage. After which, Todoroki and Bakugo use their quirks to suppress it.
Escort Mission
Tokoyami apologizes to Shoji for his lack of control. His anger against the villain was what led to this. Midoriya tells them that Bakugo is the villain’s target. In any case, they should escort him back to camp. The students plan their escape route with Bakugo listening and his mouth agape. Midoriya expresses confidence in their team, but Bakugo doesn’t want any saving. Still, he has no choice but to follow.
Five minutes earlier, Uraraka finds herself wounded from Himiko’s knife. She specifically hunted down Uraraka and Tsuyu for their cuteness. The villain goes for an attack, and Tsuyu responds by throwing Uraraka back before attempting to escape. Still, Himiko lands a cut on Froppy and catches her with a syringe rope.
Uraraka goes back and uses Gunhead’s martial arts to counter Himiko’s attack. The villain teases Uraraka despite being pinned, appealing to his feelings for Midoriya. Distracted by her creepiness, Uraraka, gets stabbed by a syringe on her side.
Shoji and Midoriya’s team arrive to find them, so Himiko opts for a quick retreat. Midoriya asks them to join in escorting Bakugo, but he’s nowhere to be found.
A magician-looking villain named Mr. Compress then appears above the trees and claims to have Bakugo encased in a crystal ball. Tokoyami seems to be gone with him as well. Mr. Compress claims to find potential in those two to indoctrinate them in the league’s dark path.
Todoroki hears enough and launches an Ice wall, but the Magician simply jumps away and reports their success to the others.
Escape
Twice and Dabi hear about the good news, but their escape has now been hampered due to the gas disappearing. Nearby, Aoyama huddles in fear as Jiro and Hagakure lay unconscious beside him.
Dabi senses them, but Twice distracts the villain by asking if he’s unleashing the Nomu that’s under his command. The Nomu turns out to be pursuing Awase and Yaoyorozu with its chain-blade attachments. But before the Nomu could strike, it retreats into the forest. The students then attach a tracking device into it.
Magne complains to Spinner for having them both caught. But then Kurogiri arrives to help them escape.
Midoriya devises a plan to catch Compress with his groups combined quirks.
The villains reach their rendezvous point, but Compress arrives with three students attached to him.
