Moon Knight Talks to His Alternate Selves in New Teaser

March may have started with the Dark Knight, but it ends with the premiere of Moon Knight—essentially Marvel’s version of Batman. Disney+ is slowly hyping up the release of the show, and we have a teaser that reveals how Marc Spector will communicate with his other identities.

Watch this:

As it turns out, Spector will be able to communicate with his alternate selves via his reflection, and while Willem Dafoe already did that with Green Goblin, Moon Knight is different in that the reflection moves independently when it’s another persona.

With projects like Inside Llewyn Davis and Ex Machina, it was curious what would lead Oscar Isaac to star in Moon Knight for Disney (he already has a big franchise with Star Wars). Seeing that he had a penchant for eccentric roles, I think that Isaac really thought the script was interesting, and that’s why he decided to jump into the MCU.

I’ll admit some of the show still looks kind of goofy, but I’m willing to go all-in based on the unique quirk that Marc Spector has with his multiple personalities. Isaac is going to have to act his ass off in this series, and I’m all for it.

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ come March 30.
