Money Heist Season 4 Episode 7 Recap – Strike the Tent

[00:00:15] Gandia called the command center while Suarez and his men were preparing to enter the bank. He told Colonel Tamayo that he had eliminated Tokyo and Nairobi. Colonel Tamayo wanted to coordinate an attack when they heard gunfire. Gandia headed to the roof and requested immediate extraction. Colonel Tamayo ordered Suarez to rescue Gandia. Sniper’s reported that smoke was coming out of the roof.

[00:02:20] Denver and Stockholm followed Gandia to the roof. The helicopter arrived and lowered a rope for Gandia as he continued to hide. Denver and Stockholm continued shooting to prevent him from escaping. A sniper awaited orders from Colonel Tamayo as he already had either Denver or Stockholm in his sights. Forty-five hours earlier, Gandia killed Nairobi and escaped back into the panic room. Tokyo asked Gandia what had happened. He told Tokyo that Nairobi threw a grenade at him. She wanted to know how Nairobi was doing; Gandia lied and said she was still alive. Tokyo noticed that Gandia was bleeding badly. He tried to inject himself with morphine, but he passed out before he could get it in the syringe.

[00:06:50] Berlin and Sergio argued about Palermo. Sergio told him that he didn’t fit into the heist because he was in love with Berlin. He added that Palermo just followed him like a puppy and was blinded by love. Berlin told Sergio that the plan was perfect, but he disagreed. Sergio told Berlin that the plan was flawed. Only parts of it were perfect; he noted that Berlin and Palermo knew how to get the gold out, but they didn’t know how to get the team out. Sergio also told Berlin that he didn’t know what to do once they got out. Sergio told Berlin that their plan was suicide.

[00:8:50] The team covered Nairobi’s body. Stockholm and Rio cried while Helsinki paced the lobby with a blank look on his face. Bogota broke down the hidden door to the panic room with a sledgehammer. Denver and Palermo entered the hallway and got to the main door. They headed out and told Sergio that they had already found the panic room. Sergio told them that they had the upper hand if he was badly wounded. Sergio wanted to negotiate for Tokyo’s life. Palermo told Sergio that Gandia had executed Nairobi. Sergio fell to his knees and cried as he remembered his last conversation with Nairobi. Helsinki brought Nairobi’s body upstairs.

[00:11:15] Sergio swore he would avenge Nairobi’s death. Sergio told them that they would destroy the command center in seven steps. Firstly, they would release the truth. Stockholm wanted Sergio to speak with Rio as he needed to know a few things. Sergio assured the team that they would get out of the bank along with the melted gold.

[00:12:20] The police were preparing to enter the bank. They sent a robot to check the front gate for explosives. Stockholm and Denver headed to the vault. She informed the men melting the gold of Nairobi’s death. Stockholm took charge of the vault along with Denver. They wanted to meet their quota in order to get out of the bank. Antoñanzas called Sergio to inform him that the police were planning to storm the bank. Sergio asked him if he had given Lisbon his message. Antoñanzas responded that he had given Raquel his message, and she was delighted about it. Sergio thanked him and ended their conversation.

[00:15:00] Sergio informed Palermo of the police’s plan to attack. He ordered Palermo to cut the feed to the panic room so Gandia couldn’t coordinate an attack with the police. Sergio wanted Gandia alive. The plan was to make Gandia focus on the door as they drilled a hole to inject sleeping gas into the panic room. Gandia woke up at the sound of the phone ringing. He injected himself with medicine and reached for the phone, but he didn’t make it in time. Bogota had already found the wiring for the panic room and disconnected it.

[00:17:25] Sergio spoke with Marseille and asked him if he had found anything in the desert. Marseille told Sergio that he needed coordinates to locate where Rio was tortured. Sergio reached out to his tech team for the satellite images of the Algerian desert. Meanwhile, the police were approaching the bank entrance. Suarez told his team to hold their position as Sergio ordered them to open the gate. Helsinki played his harmonica while he sat in front of the browning machine gun. The governor’s personal guards carried Nairobi’s makeshift coffin out of the bank. Everyone froze, the police, the crowd, even Colonel Tamayo, and the people inside the command center. Raquel wanted to know what had happened as she came out of the interrogation room. The whole team cried as they mourned the loss of Nairobi. Palermo, Denver, and Stockholm looked out the window at her procession.

[00:21:00] Bogota looked out the window to watch. Raquel cried her heart out as Angel consoled her. Sergio took the opportunity to launch their second attack. Dali’s plastered Rio’s face around Madrid. He also published Rio’s confession video, detailing the events that had happened after his arrest. Colonel Prieto watched as the press released the video on the news. Colonel Tamayo called Colonel Prieto, who admitted that they had buried Rio alive. Tamayo wanted to know if the area could be used against them. Inspector Sierra told him that it was in the middle of nowhere, and not even the Algerian secret service knew the place.

[00:24:00] The Serbians arrived along with Benjamin and his men. Benjamin was Manila’s father and Moscow’s friend. Sergio called them over as he needed them to work on another job, likely concerning the place where Rio was tortured. Inside the panic room, Gandia tended to his wounds as Tokyo tried to get in his head. Denver continued to load the gold into the bathyscaphe so that they could take it out of the vault and melt it. He got out of the vault and approached Stockholm. He spoke to her, but clearly, it wasn’t the right time. Denver walked back to the bathyscaphe and resumed his work.

[00:29:30] Amanda crawled beside Arturo. She asked him what he did when she was asleep. Arturo tried to play dumb, but Amanda made sure that everyone heard her. She told Arturo that he had taken advantage of her and knocked her out using the pills that he gave her. Arturo denied her allegations and even tried to turn things around by telling Amanda that maybe she had had a wet dream about him. Everyone around them was disgusted with Arturo. He continued to deny Amanda’s allegations as the governor consoled her.

[00:31:30] Bogota started cutting the hinges of the panic room door. As soon as he heard the sound of the saw grinding against the hinges, Palermo started drilling a hole behind the panic room. Inside the ministry of interior, Colonel Prieto held a press conference to deny everything against Rio being illegally detained and tortured. Sergio knew that the National Intelligence Agency would be overconfident, thinking that it would be their word against the robbers, and he intended to use their arrogance to his advantage. He executed his third attack, a video in the middle of the desert where a man admitted that he was paid by Prieto to torture Rio and bury him alive.

[00:36:00] Sergio released the video during the press conference at the Ministry of Interior. Colonel Prieto had nowhere to go. He denied all the allegations in the video. Colonel Tamayo watched as everything went down the drain. Suarez entered the command center and told him that they were ready to commence their attack, but he no longer wanted to resume the attack. Colonel Tamayo wanted everyone to leave the command center while he spoke with Inspector Sierra. He wanted her to take the blame for the illegal actions done to Rio. He told Sierra that Colonel Prieto would take the blame for the Intelligence Agency while she took the blame for the police in order to cleanse their reputation.

[00:39:00] Inspector Sierra wasn’t happy with Colonel Tamayo’s decision. Colonel Tamayo promised her that she wouldn’t go to jail and would keep getting her salary, though she could never get her job back. Alicia had no choice but to accept the offer as Colonel Tamayo left. Sergio knew that Colonel Prieto and Inspector Sierra would be the first ones to fall for the police. His next attack would make the police transfer Raquel out of the command center. Back at the bank, Palermo had successfully made a hole behind the panic room. They inserted a camera and saw that Gandia was lying on the ground. Palermo radioed Bogota to break the door down as they needed Gandia alive.

[00:43:00] Sergio launched his fourth attack by addressing the public once again. He informed everyone of Lisbon’s illegal detention. To prove his allegations, Sergio played the recording of Suarez faking Lisbon’s execution. He requested an open investigation against the police. Meanwhile, Bogota successfully broke the door down to the panic room. Helsinki checked to see if Gandia was still alive. Rio took the bolt cutters to release Tokyo, who hugged him tightly as soon as she got free. Bogota, Palermo, and Helsinki carried Gandia out of the panic room while Tokyo asked Rio how Nairobi was doing. He froze, and Tokyo knew from the look on Rio’s face that Nairobi was dead.

[00:47;00] Internal affairs entered the command center and ordered everyone to stop what they were doing. Colonel Tamayo approached them to introduce himself; however, they were looking for Raquel. He pointed out that Raquel was inside the interrogation room. They formally arrested Raquel and took her out of the command center. Angel escorted Raquel out along with the men from Internal Affairs. The crowd cheered as she came out of the command center. The police could no longer hold the crowd to the perimeter as they rushed towards Raquel. She felt overwhelmed by the love and support that the people gave her. Sergio watched from the security cameras as the crowd surrounded Raquel. Internal affairs took Colonel Prieto as well as Inspector Sierra into custody. Meanwhile, Tokyo cried her heart out after finding out that Nairobi was dead.
