Off all of Sony’s Spider-Man spinoffs, it was Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse that got a lot of critical praise, and we’re set to get the sequel Across the Spider-Verse later this June. Just in, we have a new international trailer that gives us more of Miles, the Spot, and the Spider-Men Miles will be going up against in the sequel.
Check this out:
Just in case you’re unfamiliar with the Spot, his gimmick is basically he could project portals around himself which he could make things pass through. While we see him do very simple things with his powers in the trailers, it’s possible he could have some kind of multiverse link, which could very well be the reason Miles will have to fight against all the other Spider-People.
The movie is said to be the first part of a much bigger arc, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. It’s actually crazy that Miles will have to fight other Spider-Men in this film, but I’m actually onboard for an all-out Spider-War.
The live-action Spider-Man movies only wish they could.
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.
Catch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse when it comes to theaters on June 2.
