Master Chief and the Spartans Debut in New Trailer for the Halo Series

It’s taken years in development hell, but the Halo adaptation is finally here, and it’s going to be making its debut on Paramount+ in March. Just in, we have a new full trailer, and it gives us a better look at Master Chief and the war with the Covenant.

Check this out:

The official description reads:

Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.

In a war for humanity’s very survival, our deadliest weapon is our greatest hope. See Master Chief, Cortana, the Covenant, and the other Spartans of Silver Team more in this epic trailer for the new Paramount+ Original Series, Halo. Find the Halo, win the war.

Just like the games, it looks like the series won’t be showing us the face of Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber), but that could be for the benefit of the production. A lot of people suspect that the reason The Mandalorian can get so many episodes done in a short amount of time is because their main character can be played by multiple actors—the same could be done for Halo, with no one really seeing Master Chief’s face. They can just have Schreiber come in and record his voice; maybe show his face one or two times.

With the impressive visual effects of the trailers, I am kind of bummed that Halo isn’t a film, then again, with the current state of theaters, this is probably the best way to get audiences to watch the adaptation. Who knows, maybe there’s room for a full-blown movie down the line—like they did with Firefly and Serenity.

Catch Halo when it premieres on Paramount+ on March 24.
