She may have been a supporting role in Hawkeye, but Maya Lopez is set to take center stage with her own series Echo. Just in, the series has just wrapped, and we should expect a first look at the show soon.
This has been confirmed by series cinematographer Kira Kelly who shared a look at the last day of shooting Echo. Check this out:

We don’t have a look at Alaqua Cox in the series yet, but we should expect some version of her comic face paint to show up in the series. The closest we got to it in Hawkeye was during a flashback scene where Maya’s father touches her face and his bloody handprint is left on her cheek.
It cuts off right before the moment, but you’ll get the gist of it.
Probably the biggest hook of the series is the return of Kingpin and Daredevil in the MCU, but we have no idea how large their roles will be on the show. With the two being the most celebrated in the Marvel Netflix continuity, I’m hoping that they don’t overshadow Maya’s arc in the story too much—then again, what if the series is just another clash between Maya and her uncle Wilson Fisk?
With Daredevil expected to appear in She-Hulk, maybe we can hope for some kind of set-up for Echo. In the meantime, all we can do is wait.
No solid release date has been set for Echo, but the series is expected to come out sometime in 2023.
