Do you believe in love at first sight? How about getting married at first sight? Getting married to a stranger the moment you first meet them might seem out of the ordinary, but here is a reality program all about it—Lifetime’s Married at First Sight. The show pairs up compatible individuals based on scientific matchmaking.
Married at First Sight Season 7 will premiere Tuesday night at 9/8c. To support and guide these newlyweds throughout the season are sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Marriage Counselor Pastor Calvin Roberson, and Psychologist Dr. Jessica Griffin. The reality TV show will display each couple’s journey as they progress from wedding to honeymoon. Married at First Sight also aims to show the stages of a relationship; from courtship down to their struggles as husband and wife. At the end of the show, each couple is required to decide on whether to keep the marriage or file for divorce.
This time, the seventh season of Married at First Sight will feature Dallas Couples. Will they have what it takes to stay committed to each other? Here are this season’s participants (via Lifetime’s official MaFS cast info site):
Amber Martorana and Dave Flaherty
Amber is a picky 36-year-old Division Order Analyst from Dallas. Due to her parent’s divorce when she was in her twenties, dating made her very cautious. Amber is looking for someone who is trustworthy, confident and successful. Tired of dating liars and cheaters, she takes a leap of faith and trusts the experts in the show to lead her to a fantastic husband whom she can build a future with.
Dave is looking for someone who is kind, loyal, intelligent and independent. The successful 37-year-old bachelor is a portfolio manager and a partner in his firm and wants a woman who is both outgoing and can be his best friend. Dave realizes he is getting older. Now, he comes at a point where he is emotionally and financially ready to start his own family. Dave is excited to meet his future wife.
Danielle Bergman and Bobby Dodd
Growing up in Washington State comes Danielle, a 30-year-old account executive. She is searching for a motivated, easy going, and trustworthy man with whom she can spend the rest of her life with. Risking her heart, Danielle hopes to find what she feels is missing in her life.
Bobby, on the other hand, grew up in a small town outside of Dallas. Being unlucky in pursuing love in the online dating realm, he hopes to find the woman of his dreams. Bobby is a romantic and will do everything to make his partner happy. Having to purchase a house, he now is ready to commit and settle down to start a family of his own.
Mia Bally and Tristan Thompson
Mia is a devout Christian. The 29-year-old airline recruiter is hoping to find a partner who values faith as much as she does. Her parents, being married for over thirty years now, made Mia learn more about love and commitment. She is looking for a loyal and humorous guy who also has excellent communication skills.
Tristan is a 29-year-old business owner and a former collegiate semi-pro basketball player. He recently opened a tutoring center to help students for college. Tristan looks up to his grandparents as they are still happily married for 65 years. He is looking for someone who is loyal, funny, and has the same religious belief too.
