‘Married at First Sight’ Season 6, Episode 14 Second Honeymoons’ Part 2 Recap: Vacations Filled With Arguments [SPOILERS]

Seven weeks have already passed and the “Married at First Sight” couples, Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre, Molly Duff and Jonathan Francetic, and Jaclyn Schwartzberg and Ryan Buckley, are still having a hard time deciding whether they will continue their marriage or end up with a divorce. Could their second honeymoon help them in figuring things out?

Hopeless, but surviving

Ryan and Jaclyn went to New York City for their second honeymoon in “Married at First Sight.” They enjoyed a horse-and-carriage ride in Central Park, and the two were consistently sweet to each other.

But surprisingly, the two had the biggest argument in their marriage yet. Ryan said that they had planned a gathering with his cousin and her friends, but when they started going out of town, Jaclyn suddenly went out of the cab and returned to their hotel room.

Since Ryan wanted to tag Jaclyn along with him, he convinced her to come back. Ryan said that he is tired of their constant arguments while Jaclyn called their night a “mess.”

Shawniece and Jephte solve their problems

Instead of enjoying their second honeymoon in Danville, Vermont, Shawniece, and Jephte ended up arguing about trying a corn maze. Shawniece walked out because she felt like Jephte doesn’t want to listen to her.

And as they continue their mini-honeymoon, Shawniece and Jephte were still not over the argument they had. Jephte said that he was upset because he went out of his way to be all romantic, but Shawniece reacted severely. Jephte added that he got into “Married at First Sight” because he wanted a partner in life, and a girl who’s so needy isn’t exactly what Jephte needed.

On their way home, Shawniece and Jephte tried to talk about their recent fight, but tension escalated while Shawniece was driving. Shawniece said that she needs more togetherness in their relationship and this just frustrated Jephte more. Jephte thinks that Shawniece ruined his mood as well as their supposedly happy honeymoon.

In the end, Shawniece pointed out that she can’t be in marriage by herself and Jephte said that maybe they shouldn’t be together. However, when they arrived home, Jephte surprised his wife with a puppy, and they named her “Kiki.”

Marriage or divorce?

During the last episode of “Married at First Sight,” Jonathan and Molly seemed to be enjoying their second honeymoon at Orlando, Florida. They even shared some of their past experiences with each other. But about six hours later after spending quality time, a blowout fight came that erased all the progress of their relationship.

Jonathan was furious at Molly because he saw her hanging out with a guy at the bar and he felt that Molly was ignoring him. In a video recorded by Jonathan, he voiced out his feelings and Molly called his act “immature.” Jonathan claimed that Molly called him a monster and a disgusting person and that Molly also said that her skin crawls whenever he will touch her.

Dr. Pepper met with each of the three couples to discuss and settle their problems.

Jephte explained that Shawniece turned their fight into a big one and didn’t appreciate his wife’s attitude. Shawniece, on the other hand, told her side by saying that she needed to feel included and wanted.

After explaining, Jephte finally admitted that he wasn’t a good communicator and was on the wrong side. Jephte said that he would try to be more open in their relationship (but he must make it fast because “Decision Day” is coming) because he cares for Shawniece so much. Shawniece forgave her husband and hoped that their reconciliation would be enough for them to stay together.

Dr. Pepper also met with Ryan and Jaclyn. The two couldn’t look at each other’s eye, and they were apparently sad about their current situation. But despite the problem that Ryan and Jaclyn are going through, neither of them had given up on their marriage. Dr. Pepper advised Ryan to be more flexible, and she added that Ryan couldn’t just fit his life with Jaclyn into a single frame.

Meanwhile, Jonathan had a flow of emotions, saying that he is exhausted in caring for someone who doesn’t do the same to him. Dr. Griffin then met with Jonathan and Molly, but the latter requested to do it individually. Molly said that she didn’t know that Jonathan was upset until he voiced out his feelings. Molly also said that Jonathan said nasty things to her. As for Jonathan, he said that it wasn’t the first time that Molly spoke to him that way in the bar.

Dr. Griffin didn’t agree with Jonathan’s decision to tape their fight but understands why he did it.

After the one on one interview, Dr. Griffin talked to the couple together. Molly said that he felt betrayed by Jonathan’s video recording. Molly also felt like Jonathan is trying to tear her down and hurt her more. Molly explained that it was the first time she talked to Jonathan that way, but Dr. Griffin didn’t believe her.

Dr. Griffin said that Molly is often sugarcoating everything that she says and if Molly doesn’t like her honesty, then she doesn’t like her lies. For Dr. Griffin, what Molly did may have been a nail in the coffin of their marriage.

It seems that this would be the end of Molly and Jonathan’s marriage in “Married at First Sight,” since Molly will be moving out to go home right away. Jonathan said that he was pretty much done as well.

“Married at First Sight” continues next Tuesday, April 17th, with “Eleventh Hour” at 9/8c on the Lifetime channel.
