Last year saw Cristin Milioti was terrorized by her tech billionaire husband with Made for Love, and now HBO has given us a look at the second season with a new trailer.
Watch this:
While we did spend the first season of Made for Love with Hazel (Milioti) trying to get away from Byron (Billy Magnussen), it looks like the second season will actually have them teaming up this time, seeing that Hazel’s father (Ray Romano) has cancer, and it’s only Byron who has the resources to help him.
While Milioti has proven herself to be a very capable leading lady, it’s great to see Ray Romano do some more serious acting later in his career. While he’s best known for his sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, he’s since moved on to star in more serious projects like The Big Sick and HBO’s cancelled Vinyl. He even showed up in Scorsese’s hundred-hour-long Netflix series The Irishman.
Besides the returning cast members, we can see that the show has actually brought in other stars from other HBO hits to appear in the series. The Righteous Gemstones fans will recognize Edi Patterson as the PR person/attorney talking to Hazel, and anyone who watched Silicon Valley will also remember Chris Diamantopoulos as eccentric billionaire Russ Hanneman.
We don’t know exactly where the second season could go, but I am all up for what feels like an extended episode of Black Mirror. Besides the family drama, there are also some questions being asked about technology and the possible pitfalls of going too far with it.
Made for Love returns to HBO Max on April 28.
