Lucifer Season 1 Episode 6 Recap – Favorite Son

[00:01:00] A man approached a truck and forklift. He boarded the forklift and lifted a cargo container on the truck. Another man approached and knocked on the forklift, asking for authorization with what he was doing. The man tried to call dispatch; however, the man operating the forklift got out and strangled him to the point of breaking his neck. The man proceeded to load the cargo container on the truck. Meanwhile, back at Lux, Lucifer played Sinnerman on the piano for his customers. Chloe, on the other hand, scolded Trixie for lying. She didn’t admit to eating cake even though she had chocolate icing all over her face. Dan tried the good cop approach, which surprisingly worked. Trixie told them about Lucifer’s advice on doing something if you really want to. Dan told Chloe to keep Lucifer away from Trixie.

[00:05:30] Maze brought two ladies named Brittany to Lucifer. He welcomed them; however, he declined to have sex since he needed to work as a civilian consultant. Before Lucifer left, he requested that the ladies keep Maze happy instead. Lucifer headed over to Chloe, who was already busy processing the crime scene. He complained that the case was too boring for him. He wanted shootouts. Lucifer told Chloe to call him with exciting cases. She objected, but Lucifer left. He went back to Lux to find out if the Brittanies were still there, but Maze pointed out more pressing issues. She told Lucifer that the container that was stolen from the crime scene belonged to him.

[00:09:15] Lucifer didn’t worry about the container; however, Maze told him that his reputation would be ruined. Lucifer didn’t understand, so Maze elaborated. She told Lucifer that if he didn’t recover the container, it would send out a message that it was okay to steal from him. Given this, Lucifer returned to Chloe to assist in the investigation. He told Chloe that the stolen container belonged to him; however, he couldn’t disclose the items inside. Chloe accompanied Lucifer to explore a lead. Lucifer pulled Frank Costa out of his ice cream truck to ask a couple of questions. He told Chloe about Frank’s real identity and how Maze ran a deal with him regarding the container. Frank told them about the Los Diablos Biker Club. He added that while he’s in charge of the warehouse, the biker club is in charge of the docks; hence they would know if anything went down.

[00:12:30] Chloe stopped Lucifer from assaulting Frank any further as they walked away. She wanted to know what was inside the container; however, Lucifer didn’t want to tell. Chloe called Dan to investigate Lucifer and his secrets. Dan headed over to Lux and spoke with Maze. She escorted Dan to their office; however, she knocked him out on the way. Lucifer went back to Linda to continue therapy, but it didn’t end up the way he wanted it to. Linda told him that they were making progress; however, Lucifer thought otherwise and left. Amenadiel overheard their conversation and visited Linda. He tried to get information out of her, but she only gave Amenadiel tidbits about Lucifer. Amenadiel left Linda and offered his services if she ever needed consultation.

[00:19:30] Dan woke up naked inside Chloe’s house. He didn’t know what happened; however, he hid inside Trixie’s room as they arrived. Trixie discovered that Dan was hiding inside his room and wanted to know why. Dan couldn’t tell Trixie what had happened, so he asked her to get him some clothes and sneak him out of the house. Trixie made a deal with Dan in order to help him. She wanted cake for a whole year in exchange for her services. Dan didn’t want to agree, but he had no choice. Trixie got him some of Chloe’s clothes and snuck him out. Dan returned to Lux to confront Maze. He wanted to know what had happened. Maze thought that bringing him naked to Chloe would get them back together and remove Chloe from Lucifer’s life. Dan responded that relationships don’t work like that.

[00:22:00] Maze gave Dan the records that he requested. Dan tried to arrest Maze. However, given what happened, he wouldn’t be able to explain how Maze knocked him out, so he just collected his things and left. Dan called Chloe to report that Lucifer isn’t hiding anything based on his books. Chloe ended their conversation in disbelief as Lucifer met her outside Los Diablos Biker Club. The killer wore a bracelet that left an imprint on the victim’s neck that resembled the logo of the biker club. They entered the club, and Lucifer quickly caused a commotion. He climbed up a table to address everyone; he wanted them to confess the location of his container.  Lucifer ticked off everyone inside the bar; they all wanted a piece of him, but Chloe assisted him by bringing Renny down as he tried to punch Lucifer.

[00:25:30] Hank Cutter appeared to stop the commotion. He introduced himself as the leader of the biker club and wanted to speak with Lucifer and Chloe inside his office. Chloe went straight to the point and asked about the docks. Hank confessed that he wanted to run a clothing line after Lucifer used his powers against him. Hank is getting old, and he could no longer keep up with the reputation of their biker club, so he planned to re-brand them into a clothing line. Chloe showed him the iron cross that was imprinted on the victim’s neck; however, he declined their involvement in the murder. Chloe understood and left without saying another word. She wanted to use Hank as bait in order to find out the truth. Lucifer didn’t believe her plan would work; however, after a few moments, Frank exited their bar and rode his motorcycle.

[00:28:30] Amenadiel drank with Linda hoping for more information on Lucifer. He suggested that Linda embrace Lucifer as the devil in order to help him. Amenadiel planned to use Linda against Lucifer. Meanwhile, Lucifer and Chloe were staking out Hank, who was meeting someone. Renny appeared and started arguing with Hank, all of a sudden, he shot Hank and rode off. Chloe called for backup and an ambulance as she rushed to help Hank. Lucifer wanted to follow Renny, so he stole Chloe’s car to pursue him. They arrived at a warehouse where Lucifer hunted him down. Chloe followed them with the assistance of another officer, who tracked her car using its GPS locator.

[00:33:00] Renny did his best to escape from Lucifer; however, he cornered him on the warehouse rooftop. Lucifer used his powers on Renny, who apologized for the crime. He told Lucifer that he didn’t plan to steal the container, Renny knew the contents, and he immediately knew that they belonged to Lucifer. Renny couldn’t contain his fear for Lucifer, so he jumped off the building to escape. Chloe told Lucifer that Hank gave a statement about Renny which concluded their investigation. She accompanied Lucifer to open his container; it contained a crate full of Russian dolls. Convinced that Lucifer isn’t lying, Chloe left him inside the container. Lucifer walked around the crate to find a secret compartment. He opened it only to find that the contents were missing.

[00:38:40] Dan arrived at Chloe’s house just in time for taco Tuesday. He realized that he needed to make an effort in order to win Chloe’s trust back. Lucifer, on the other hand, went back to Linda in order to continue therapy. Linda continued her argument; however, she accepted that Lucifer is the devil, as suggested by Amenadiel. This opened up Lucifer even more; he felt pain and betrayal as Linda called him Samael. Lucifer told Linda that God shunned him and made him do something that he didn’t want to. Linda tried her best to break Lucifer; however, he punched through the wall in anger and left. Lucifer went back to Lux and told Maze that his wings were missing.
