Listen to Weird Al Yankovic’s ‘Scarif Beach Party’ from LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation

Besides having Daniel Radcliffe play him in his biopic, Weird Al Yankovic has also teamed up with Disney+ for the LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation holiday special. Yankovic wrote the original song Scarif Beach Party for the movie, and you can listen to it in full here:

Admittedly, the song isn’t as classic as Yankovic’s The Saga Begins, but I’m sure that there will be some kids who love it.

The music video is also full of clips from the special, and there are some teasers for shorts featuring characters from all eras of Star Wars. Though Lucasfilm has been holding back on the Sequel era content, these LEGO specials have been the closest thing fans have been getting to canon, what with some stories featuring young Ben Solo as well as scenes following Rey attempting to teach Finn how to be a Jedi.

With the Summer Special in, LEGO Star Wars would have covered all the major holidays. I guess there’s always room for Valentine’s or Thanksgiving, but I wouldn’t be opposed to a sequel to the original Christmas Special. Heck, they can give us another Halloween one while October is just around the corner.

While there are some fans that consider specials like this filler, it’s still good fun for the main audience of Star Wars—which are the kids. Not to mention, it essentially helps promote the sale of more Star Wars LEGO sets.
