Lin-Manuel Miranda to Guest Star on 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 6 Episode

This superfan is having his wildest dreams come true. Mary Poppins Returns star Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to make a guest appearance in one of his four favorite shows ever—Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

TheWrap reports that the Hamilton creator will be appearing in the NBC comedy show’s ninth episode (airing March 7th), titled “The Golden Child,” and is set to play David Santiago, Amy’s (Melissa Fumero) brother. But the relationship between the siblings appears to be in a much more competitive state, as Amy treats David as her fierce rival.

Miranda is a self-professed Brooklyn Nine-Nine fan. Back in May last year, the actor was one of the most outspoken advocates of saving the show after FOX, it’s home network, canceled it. A day after the Brooklyn Nine-Nine was canceled, NBC swooped in to save the show. The show’s star, Andy Samberg, tweeted out his thanks to celebrities like Miranda, Seth Meyers, Mark Hamill, Guillermo del Toro, and Sean Astin for helping the network realize that the show is too early to be canceled. He then went on to call the group the “Guardians of the Nine-Nine.”

NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine is currently on its sixth season, with 18 episodes in tow. Recently, Chelsea Peretti, who plays Gina Linetti on the show, made her exit on the show’s fourth episode.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine continues Thursday, February 14th, with “The Crime Scene” at 9/10c on NBC.
