Life Finds a Way in New Trailer for Jurassic World Dominion

Director Colin Trevorrow may not have been able to conclude the Star Wars sequel trilogy as originally planned, but he does get to end a franchise that he kickstarted with Jurassic World Dominion. The movie is set to come out this June, and we have a trailer that gives us a good look at this world overrun by dinosaurs.

Watch this:

Though we do see a lot of familiar dinos in the trailer, it looks like Dominion will reveal how some of them have managed to adapt in the wild—what with Owen running into a raptor that grew feathers to survive in the cold.

We don’t know what other kinds of dinos we would see in this world, but I’m hoping that the film has saved some reveals for the theater.

I have to say, the concept of an entire world overrun by dinosaurs is pretty interesting, and it feels like a natural progression from the story that was kicked off in the first Jurassic World. While it’s great that they got the original cast of Jurassic Park to come back, I’m hoping they don’t push the characters of this new trilogy too far back. It’s still their franchise.

From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.

Jurassic World Dominion comes out this June 10.
