We don’t have a release date for Batgirl yet, but Barbara Gordon actress Leslie Grace is already starting to build on the hype for the series. Just in, she shared a full look at her Batgirl costume on her IG.

She also captioned the photo with a quote from the comic Batgirl: Year One. It reads:
“I use their expectations against them. That will be their weakness. Not mine. Let them all underestimate me…
And when their guard is down, and their pride is rising, let me kick their butts.”
As for the costume, it looks like the show will be drawing inspiration from the 2014 redesign of Batgirl, which gives Barbara Gordon a more practical-looking suit. Rather than the tight spandex that superhero outfits are infamous for, she looks to be wearing a customized motorcycle suit with the superhero elements kept being the cowl and the cape.
A full image of the costume also reveals that she’s sporting the boots like in the comics.

Admittedly, some people are griping at the look of the outfit, and while it’s always expected with fandoms like DC’s, some are thinking that this will be a prototype version of the suit, and we’ll see something more sleek by the end of the movie—kind of like what they did with Ezra Miller’s Flash or Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
No release date has been set for Batgirl, but it’s expected to debut on HBO Max sometime this year. Robert Pattinson’s The Batman hits theaters on March 4.
