Krysten Ritter Allegedly in Talks to Reprise Jessica Jones

After the return of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, a lot of fans have been wondering who else Marvel could be bringing over from the Netflix series. Now word is going around that we could see a familiar super-powered PI officially enter MCU canon.

As per insider Daniel RPK (via @GeekVibesNation) Krysten Ritter is currently in talks to reprise Jessica Jones for the MCU. We don’t have any details about where she could show up, but I would imagine she would make her debut in another hero’s show—possibly the upcoming She-Hulk or maybe even the Daredevil revival that Disney+ is allegedly working on.

Jessica Jones was the second Marvel Netflix series to come out, and it had Jessica coping with her trauma after escaping Kilgrave a.k.a. the Purple Man. Besides the series being lauded for its realistic take on emotional abuse, the show has also managed to make the power of mind control absolutely terrifying when it comes to a character like Kilgrave.

If anything, it feels like the MCU is following Netflix’s route when it comes to the introduction of the Defenders characters. We already have characters from Daredevil and now we have news on Jessica Jones. Fingers crossed we go long enough to get Finn Jones’ Iron Fist showing up in the Shang-Chi sequel.

Jessica Jones hasn’t been officially announced yet, but you can check out her Netflix series now available on Disney+.
