Kamala Shines in New Poster for Ms. Marvel

With Moon Knight having ended, the next Disney+ Marvel series incoming will be Ms. Marvel. We’ve yet to get a new trailer for the show, but we do have a new poster featuring Kamala Khan and her superhero outfit.

We don’t know how Kamala gets her costume in the series, but it looks like something that is more like an official superhero rather than the cobbled-up costume that Kamala uses in the comics. She does, however, keep the scarf and the bracelet (which has been retconned to be the source of her powers).

I’ll admit, I’m more of a fan of the ‘goofy’ Kamala with shapeshifting powers and the homemade outfit, but hopefully the series sticks to the real essence of the character. We know that Kamala is a huge Avengers nerd, and it would be funny watching her clash with villains in her own unique way. I’m also hoping they manage to keep her ‘Embiggen!’ catchphrase.

With a release set for June, I’m suspecting we’ll get a new trailer once all the hype for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starts to simmer down.

A great student, an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. But Kamala struggles to fit in at home and at school—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life is easier with super powers, right?
