Justin Roiland Presents a Halloween Anthology with The Paloni Show! Halloween Special!

Rick and Morty may be taking a break for now, but Justin Roiland is getting busy with the Halloween season. Besides his other sci-fi show Solar Opposites, we have a new look at something called The Paloni Show! Halloween Special!.

From creator Justin Roiland, “The Paloni Show! Halloween Special!” introduces Leroy, Reggie, and Cheruce Paloni, who have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to be the hosts of an unforgettable Halloween Special full of “spooky” shorts from a group of up-and-coming animators.

Though the Palonis in the series look to be animated in Roiland’s signature Rick and Morty style, the other shorts from the series all have their own signature flair that should make each one feel unique. While I am expecting most of the show to have a comedic tone, I think we could expect some genuine spooks from the show.

With shows like Love, Death + Robots being critically praised for showcasing different works,  I think Paloni Show is kind of going for the same thing, but with the Halloween season. We know that Netflix managed to nab Guillermo del Toro for their Halloween anthology Cabinet of Curiosities, but hopefully Roiland has created a new avenue for animation creatives to show off their spooky time spirit.

The Paloni Show! Halloween Special! premieres on Hulu this coming Oct. 17.
