John Noble Wins Critics’ Choice

Actor John Noble (Lord of the Rings, Fringe) landed the Critics’ Choice Award yesterday for best supporting actor in a drama series. Noble plays the eccentric Walter Bishop from the JJ Abrams-created hit TV show Fringe.
Fringe was recently renewed for a fourth season.
The Critics’ Choice Television Awards were created by the Broadcast Television Critics Association to act as a counterpoint to the annual Emmy Awards. Among this year’s crop of winners were those with no previous Emmy nominations, but who remain firm fan favorites.

- Julianna Margulies for Best Actress in a Drama Series (The Good Wife)
- Christina Hendricks for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Mad Men)
- Margo Martindale for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Justified)
- Jim Parsons for Best Actor in a Comedy Series (The Big Bang Theory)
- Tina Fey for Best Actress in a Comedy Series (30 Rock)
- Neil Patrick Harris for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (How I Met Your Mother)
- Busy Philipps for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Cougar Town)
