John Cena Actually Plays the Piano in that Peacemaker Scene

John Cena’s Peacemaker has mostly been a hilarious, socially awkward weirdo in his own HBO Max series, but he does have his serious character moments; one of which was a quiet sit-down at the office piano. What’s interesting is, that actually is Cena playing his own rendition of Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue.
This was confirmed by series director James Gunn:
For those of you asking, yes, that was really @JohnCena playing the piano version of Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" in the latest episode of #Peacemaker. It has been added to the Peacemaker Official Playlist, or you can listen to it directly here: https://t.co/GTJPdiXHpe pic.twitter.com/sUNb2rlgFn

While we already got hints at Peacemaker’s awkwardness in The Suicide Squad, Gunn really delves deep into it when it comes to this HBO Max series. Though Peacemaker does bully everyone on the team, he’s slowly been picked apart emotionally in each episode, and this scene with the piano comes out after he makes progress with his friendship with Harcourt (Jennifer Holland).
For now, the season has two episodes left and everything is culminating into a conflict between three parties—Peacemaker’s team, the Butterflies, and the White Dragon and his Nazis. We also don’t know where Amanda Waller stands with this whole issue, but I’m expecting her to make one final appearance before the season ends; maybe we can have an appearance of one more Squad member as well. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Picking up where The Suicide Squad (2021) left off, Peacemaker returns home after recovering from his encounter with Bloodsport – only to discover that his freedom comes at a price.
In the meantime, catch new episodes of Peacemaker every Thursday on HBO Max.
